The art of seal carving highlights the style of Cuihu Lake and opens the prologue of 2024 New Year's Day

During the New Year's Day of 2024 (January 1st to January 10th), "Eight Views of Green Lake" and "Seal Image" - Seal Carving Art Exhibition will be held in the Green Lake Ecological Civilization Exhibition Hall.

This exhibition showcases the seal carving work of "Eight Views of Green Lake", which is carefully created by Su Taikun, a famous seal carver in Yunnan, and shows the historical style of the poem "Eight Views of Green Lake" by Mr. Chen Rongchang, a famous scholar, educator, poet and calligrapher in modern Yunnan, in the form of seal carving art. In addition, the exhibition area will also focus on the display of 100 square "Seal and Elephant" seal carving works of 33 seal carvers in Yunnan, which are created with the cultural theme of "elephant" in Yunnan.

"The world is wide between square inches, and the intersection of gold and stone is large." The art of seal carving, written with a knife, engraved on a stone, is a traditional art rich in exquisite cultural heritage, as a part of the inheritance of ancient Chinese culture, has a history of more than 3,000 years.

In his nearly 40 years of artistic career, Su Taikun, a famous seal carver in Yunnan Province, has continuously studied and studied the traditional printing style of the ancients, taken its essence, and combined with the aesthetic orientation of contemporary art, and formed his own unique artistic style in calligraphy, painting and printing.

Cuihu Park specially invited Mr. Su Taikun to create the "Eight Views of Cuihu" seal carving work seals in all directions, a small stone seal, not only can see the heroic and tactful calligraphy brushwork, but also can see the rigorous law under the text arrangement, the vivid charm between the carved lines, and highlight the beauty of traditional art classics with gold and stone art. Mr. Su Taikun skillfully integrates the beauty of the eight views of Cuihu Lake into each text through seal carving, like an unfolding picture scroll that seems to bring the viewer into the art world of Mr. Chen Rongchang, and the work is exhibited for the first time as an important collection of artworks in Cuihu Park.

At the same time, the exhibition will also exhibit the "Seal Image" seal carving art series. In March 2020, 16 Asian wild elephants left the Xishuangbanna Nature Reserve and headed north, and the Yunnan Provincial Forest Fire Brigade sent 59 commanders and fighters to monitor and guide the elephants throughout the process, and the elephant herd returned to its habitat in August 2021. The journey of the Yunnan wild elephant herd to the north and back has allowed the world to see the achievements of China's biodiversity conservation, so that the beautiful picture of Yunnan's biodiversity and the harmonious coexistence of man and nature has been fully displayed in the world.

Previously, the seal carving artwork of "Seal Image" has been exhibited in Kunming Museum, and is now carried out again by Yunnan Provincial Calligraphy Court, Yunnan Golden Peacock Painting and Calligraphy Institute and Kunming Cuihu Park and Yunnan Provincial Forest Fire Brigade in the Cuihu Ecological Civilization Exhibition Hall.

During the exhibition, Mr. Su Taikun, Mr. Luo Junwei and other seal carvers also carried out special lectures, skills seminars, teaching experience and other activities on the spot, citizens and tourists can also immerse themselves in traditional calligraphy and painting, gold and stone, Chuantuo and other skills at the same time, which is an opportunity to understand and learn traditional Chinese culture.

Walking into the Cuihu Ecological Civilization Exhibition Hall, the simple and concise seal carving works are either hung on the exhibition wall or displayed in glass display cabinets, attracting citizens and tourists to watch the exhibition. These works are rough or soft, or concise or chic, or red or black, and all exude a strong artistic atmosphere between the knives and brushes, allowing the audience to appreciate the breadth and profundity of seal carving culture from the square inch, so that the flowers of culture and art bloom with different brilliance in the green lake.
