Cuihu Park once again performs the Kunqu opera "Peony Pavilion", and the live theater invites you to immerse yourself in the experience

Green Lake, how many literati and artists here enjoy the moon and flowers, nostalgic for the past and the present, the historical and cultural heritage and the lake and sky are integrated, becoming a stage that carries and condenses the urban culture of Kunming.

In September 2023, Cuihu Park held a live version of the Kunqu opera "Peony Pavilion" at Guanyulou, which won the favor of audiences from all over the world, and the first performance was full. The audience and friends have expressed that this performance is like "people in the play", and they hope that "The Peony Pavilion" can appear in Green Lake Park again.

On January 27, 2024, in the anticipation of the audience and friends, the live performance of "The Peony Pavilion" will reunite with everyone again. Yunnan Provincial Peking Opera Company national first-class actor Li Jing (as Du Liniang) and national first-class actor Zhu Fu (as Liu Mengmei) dressed in gorgeous costumes, with superb acting skills and beautiful singing, the joys and sorrows of Du Liniang and Liu Mengmei were vividly displayed.

At the performance site, the three-dimensional stage and immersive lighting design of "one step at a time" made the audience and friends feel as if they were in a quiet and peaceful peony pavilion. When night falls, the lights in the Guanyu Building are beautiful, and Liu Mengmei, Du Liniang, and the audience and friends who are emotional for the play jointly paint a classical picture scroll of "beautiful flowers and flowing water", so that the classical cultural charm of Cuihu and the art of Kunqu Opera are perfectly blended.
