Cuihu Park once again performs Kunqu opera "Peony Pavilion", and the live theater invites you to immerse yourself in the experience

Cuihu Lake, where many literati and ink figures admire the moon and flowers, reminisce about the past and present, integrates historical and cultural heritage with the lake and sky, becoming a stage for carrying and condensing Kunming's urban culture.

In September 2023, Cuihu Park held a live performance of Kunqu opera "Peony Pavilion" at Guanyu Tower, which won the favor of audiences from all over the country. The first performance was fully booked. Audience friends have expressed that this performance feels like "people in the play", hoping that "Peony Pavilion" can make another appearance in Cuihu Park.

On January 27, 2024, amidst the anticipation of the audience, the live performance of "Peony Pavilion" reunited with everyone once again. Li Jing (played by Du Liniang) and Zhu Fu (played by Liu Mengmei), national first-class actors of Yunnan Provincial Peking Opera Theatre, dressed in gorgeous costumes, showcased the joys and sorrows of Du Liniang and Liu Mengmei's separation and reunion with exquisite acting skills and beautiful singing.

At the performance site, the three-dimensional stage and immersive lighting design of "step by step scenery" make the audience feel as if they are in a peaceful and tranquil peony pavilion. As night falls, the lights inside the Guanyu Building are beautiful. Liu Mengmei, Du Liniang, and the audience friends who are passionate about the play, together paint a classical painting of "beautiful families like flowers and flowing years like water", perfectly blending the classical cultural charm of Cuihu with Kunqu art.

Cuihu Park will continue to carry out live theater performances, using vivid viewing modes and new presentation effects to lead everyone to experience the unique charm of Cuihu.
