In order to provide a beautiful and festive environment for citizens and tourists and light up the "taste of the year of Green Lake", Kunming Green Lake Park has created a festive atmosphere of "blooming flowers in the morning and bright lights at night", and organized a series of wonderful activities to welcome tourists from all over the world.

1、 Hold the 12th Tulip Flower Exhibition in Cuihu Park, decorate tulip themed flower border ornaments, and create a festive atmosphere of blooming flowers.

The 12th Tulip Flower Exhibition of Cuihu Park arrived as scheduled during the Spring Festival of 2024. The planting area of Tulip in Cuihu will be expanded to include areas such as Jiulongchi and Southwest Island on the basis of previous years' East Road and South Road. The planting area of flowers will increase from the original 1000 square meters to about 3500 square meters, and the variety and quantity of flowers will also increase significantly compared to previous years, with a total of more than 20 types and over 200000 bulbs planted.

 

 

 

The park combines the traditional Chinese lantern festival culture with garden art, and sets 14 groups of garden card punching attractions to create a lucky New Year scene in the the Year of the Loong. Set up a "Rose Waterfall" themed check-in point in Kowloon Pool using simulated roses and seasonal flowers. There will also be a "Small Bonsai Exhibition in Cuihu Park" held in the tea garden, showcasing more than 40 bonsai pots, and various camellia flowers will also enter their blooming period.

 

 

At that time, tulips, daffodils, beauties Yu and camellias in the park will open up, bonsai will shine, thousands of roses will pour down from high places, tens of thousands of flowers will create a happy and festive atmosphere for the Spring Festival, and the vast number of citizens and tourists will feel a new visual feast.

1、 "Spring Festival Green Lake Lantern Festival", with thousands of colorful lanterns reflecting the Spring Festival, and "Ten Mile" lights illuminating the night green lake

The custom of adding lanterns during the Spring Festival originated from ancient China and symbolizes completeness and celebration. Cuihu Lake is the eye of Kunming. Watching lanterns at Cuihu Lake during the Spring Festival was once a traditional program in the park, and it was also a favorite and important activity among the elderly people of Kunming. For this reason, during this year's Spring Festival, the park held the "New Year Green Lake Lantern Festival", decorated with light ornaments, light check-in points, light curtains, light corridors, etc., to welcome the arrival of the Spring Festival with a dazzling atmosphere. The lantern festival will officially open for free to the public on the evening of February 8th and will continue until the end of February. The daily viewing time for lanterns is from 19:30 to 22:30. The New Year Lantern Festival is based on the concept of "elegance, agility, and brightness", with a design concept of combining points, lines, and surfaces. A total of 14 sets of light groups are set up in four main gates, road surfaces, water surfaces, islands, and other areas, including 4 main scenic spots, 5 lighting sketches, and 5 lighting atmosphere creation areas.

 

 

Install a 40 meter long, 4 meter wide, and 6.5 meter high "Dragon Teng Shengshi" themed water surface light in Nanhu Pond. Make a group of garden landscape modeling with the theme of the the Year of the Loong in the Bajiao Pavilion in the central area. In addition, three sets of lighting themed skits, namely Qilin Presenting Auspiciousness, Butterfly Transformation, and Charming Pomegranate, are set up at the South Gate, West Gate, and North Gate respectively. Lantern corridors are set up in areas such as Shuiyue Pavilion and Southwest Island, with animals as the main characters to build lively and cute lighting check-in points. We also set up atmosphere lights such as colorful spherical stars, bees flying and butterflies dancing, as well as contour lanterns measuring 1345 meters, to enhance the beautification and lighting effect of the park's lighting. Ten mile lights illuminate the "New Year flavor" of the emerald lake

1. Dragon and lion performances, ethnic folk performances, music salons singing festive melodies

(1) Dragon and lion offer auspicious New Year greetings, showcasing the charm of traditional Chinese culture

Dragon and lion dance is a traditional Chinese folk custom. People pray for the blessings of the dragon and lion on festive days to seek good weather and good luck. On the afternoon of February 10th (the first day of the Lunar New Year), there will be dragon and lion performances and folk performance teams on a parade, showcasing the spirit of the dragon and the charm of the lion with agility, creating a lively atmosphere of "dragon leaping and lion leaping" during the Spring Festival.
