Qingming Festival, also known as the Qingqing Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival, and there has been a custom of going out to enjoy flowers since ancient times. On the Qingming Festival in 2024, Cuihu Park will hold a variety of activities to promote traditional festival culture and let visitors feel the spring breath of grass growing and warblers flying.

The Flower Dynasty Festival is the "Hundred Flowers Birthday", which means that spring returns to the earth and flowers are in full bloom. During the Qingming Festival, the park held the "Cloud Dress Elegance Cuihu Park 3rd Flower Dynasty Festival" activity. In Lianhua Monastery, Shuiyuexuan, South Road, Guiyuan Garden and other areas, Hanfu parades, flower god selection, interactive games, cultural bazaars, etc., are carried out to create an atmosphere of spring gardening.

At two o'clock in the afternoon of April 4th, the Flower Dynasty Festival kicked off in the central area of Cuihu Park. First up is the "Twelve Flower Gods" parade and prayer event. In order to make the event more lively and the atmosphere more lively, the park uses various flowers and unique decorations to make bouquets and flower baskets for parades. The gods of flowers are dressed in beautiful Hanfu, holding exquisite flower baskets and bouquets, stepping on the spring parade, worshipping ancestors and praying for blessings, singing and dancing, and the tourists vote for the "Oiran" on the spot, depicting an elegant and gorgeous spring picture.

The event invited professional lecturers to explain the historical and cultural background of Han cultural costumes, makeup, props, etc., and showed the beauty of Hanfu through vivid performances, adding cultural connotation in a way that appreciates elegance and customs, and complements education and entertainment. At the same time, interactive games such as pot throwing are held to add fun. A cultural bazaar will be set up to display and sell intangible cultural heritage, cultural creativity, Han-style clothing, etc., to meet the diversified needs of tourists.

As a stage for carrying and condensing history and culture, Cuihu will hold live theater performances of Kunqu Opera "Peony Pavilion" in Lianhua Zen Temple and Guanyulou in 2023, cross talk and other melodramas, which are favored by citizens and tourists.

In order to do a good job in cultural inheritance, this year's Qingming Festival, Cuihu Park held the "Liang Zhu National Style Classic Famous Song Concert". The concert was co-sponsored by the Kunming Wuhua District Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau, the Wuhua District Culture and Tourism Bureau, Kunming Cuihu Park, and the Huashan Sub-district Office, and co-organized by Yunnan Youju Culture Communication Co., Ltd. and Kunming Really Good Listening Culture Media Co., Ltd. This is another national style performance after the Peony Pavilion, which tells the eternal love swan song of Zhu Yingtai and Liang Shanbo, reflecting the profound cultural heritage of Cuihu.

The concert will meet you at the Longyun Theater of Lianhua Zen Temple. The musicians performed "Liang Zhu", "Funeral Flower Yin", "Jasmine" and other pieces live, intertwining classical charm and modern rhythm, and the innovative interpretation method brought an auditory feast. The audience was immersed in the moving melody, tasted the charm of Chinese culture, and responded with warm applause. In April after the Qingming Festival, there will also be improvisational comedy, cross talk and other performances, and everyone is welcome to come and watch.
